DATE OF PRODUCTION: Doll and Outfit 1996. Blue Goddess doll was retired in 1999.
CHARACTERISTICS OF DOLL: Gene is designed by Mel Odom. Outfit designed by Tim Kennedy.
PRICE: $30 to $40 on eBay for MIB and NRFB Blue Goddess dolls. The Kiss on eBay NRFB approximately $25-$35.
COMMENTS: The outfit is a design c. 1946. Gene is the very popular fashion doll introduced in 1995 and currently still in production.
MARKET REPORT: The bottom has fallen out of the Gene doll market in the last 5 years, with too much supply and not enough demand. This doll can be found at online auctions, MIB, for under what the original wholesale value of the doll was when released in 1999.
