Evening Splendour: One Of The Best Barbie Reproductions So Far!
This is one of my favorite Barbie reproductions done by Mattel so far! It was a joy to see her in person at Toy Fair 2005. The Evening Splendour vintage outfit was always a favorite with little girls, and it is still a favorite today. Produced originally from 1959-1964, the reproduction includes a slim golden and white metallic brocade dress and matching coat with three-quarter length sleeves trimmed in faux fur. Also included are reproductions of the faux fur headband hat with faux pearl trim, brown open-toed mules, pearl necklace and earrings, blue-green velour purse, white gloves and the usually lost (in the original) handkerchief. One of the reasons that this reproduction is so spectacular is that it features an all-new body sculpt.
